| Rockets Fall Short, 2-1, at Kenilworth | Kenilworth Aces starter Lorenzo Aguilar was in fine form against the Nassau Rockets at Play Rocks Field, leading his team to a 2-1 win. Robinson Gonzáles notched his 42nd save in 44 chances. The first-place Aces have their sights set on making a deep playoff run.
The Aces got a big at-bat from catcher Hollis Wood. For the game, Wood was 3-4 with 3 singles. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 44th hit of the season gave Kenilworth a 2-1 lead.
"We've got a great group of guys," Wood said, "and we're having fun right now."
