Tropics Lose, 5-1, at Agent 47 Field | The Hendersonville Hitmen went home winners at Agent 47 Field, thanks in large part to starter Paul Ewing. Ewing silenced the Maui Tropics, enabling Hendersonville to grab the 5-1 win. Even with the win, the Hitmen have a dismal 50-96 record.
Jesús Cruz chipped in for Hendersonville with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Maui manager Truman Bailey.
