Victory Pushes Noise Record to 75-68 | Philadelphia designated hitter Arturo Molina was sensational. He went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Nevada beat the Athletics, 6-4. Molina was named the player of the game despite the loss. Cliff Long got the win, improving to 10-12. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 7 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 1. The Noise bumped their record to 75-68 with this latest triumph.
The Noise got a big at-bat from designated hitter Santiago Márquez. For the game, Márquez went 3-4 with 3 singles. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 168th hit of the season gave Nevada a 4-3 lead.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Márquez told the Nevada Observer.
