Calrissian Paste Hitmen, 11-1
|
The Orlando Calrissian topped the Hendersonville Hitmen, 11-1, in National League action at Agent 47 Field. The player of the game was Orlando second baseman Júlio Negrón. Jorge Jiménez, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 7 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 3. His record now stands at 2-0. The Hitmen fall to 7-8 and continue their wobbly start to the 2029 season.
Orlando used the timely hitting of Craig Kenney to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put the Calrissian on top, 3-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Hendersonville manager Doug Wells called the blowout loss "a real stinker."
