Knights Bang Out 7-4 Win Versus So Cal | New York and So Cal duked it out at Roy Hobbs Memorial Ballpark and the Knights came out victorious.
The New York Knights downed the So Cal Bruins, 7-4, at Roy Hobbs Memorial Ballpark. The Knights were led by Lonnie Anderson, who captured player of the game honors. He was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. New York reliever James Jones got the win, raising his record to 3-4. Jesús González was tagged with the loss.
The Knights got a big at-bat from catcher Jerry Johnston. For the game, Johnston was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave New York a 7-4 lead.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Anderson told the New York Today.
The Knights now own a record of 56-85.
