| Royale with Cheese Sneak Past River Sharks, 5-4 | The Kalamazoo Royale with Cheese had to overcome a big game from Austin second baseman Andy Aiton to leave Hawthrone Grill with a 5-4 victory. Aiton went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Kalamazoo reliever Roberto Ledesma picked up the win, upping his record to 6-3. Paco Gutiérrez took the loss. Kalamazoo has now won 4 games in a row.
Kalamazoo took a 5-4 lead on Caden Keith's 10th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Austin pitcher Paco Gutiérrez in the bottom of the 11th.
"We didn't go down without a fight," said Austin manager Will Shaw.
