Aces Sneak Past Knights, 5-4 | The Kenilworth Aces picked up a win at Roy Hobbs Memorial Ballpark, knocking off the New York Knights, 5-4. Starting pitcher Erwin Entwistle, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Robinson Gonzáles got the save, his 41st in 42 chances. The Aces have an impressive 96-42 record.
The Aces got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Sean Nicks. For the game, Nicks was 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the ninth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Kenilworth a 5-4 lead.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Entwistle.
