| Rockets Solve Looters, 5-2 | The Nassau Rockets picked up a win at Nassau Grounds, knocking off the New Orleans Looters, 5-2. Starting pitcher Ben Moody was an essential part of his team's success. The winning pitcher was Moody, now 18-7. He tossed 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 8. Guan-cai Yong got the save, his 12th in 15 chances.
Andrew Alvarado, who is a two-time All-Star, aided the Nassau cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the left fielder went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Alvarado.
The Rockets bumped their record to 78-59 with this latest triumph.
