The Jersey Shore D-Bags defeated the Kenilworth Aces, 9-1, in Continental League action at Play Rocks Field, with Jersey Shore third baseman Miguel Serna named player of the game. José Ramos, the winner, improved to 7-4. He held the Aces to 1 earned run on 6 hits over 8.1 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 1.
Albert Morgan, who is tied for 2nd in the CL in doubles with 39, aided the Jersey Shore cause with a 2-run double in the top of the second. For the game, the designated hitter went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
Kenilworth manager Ismael Martínez said his team was "out of sync."
The D-Bags bumped their record to 69-67 with this latest triumph.
