The Nevada Noise opened their 2029 season with a disappointing 12-4 loss to the So Cal Bruins at Branda's Palace. Left Fielder José Antonio Santiago was a big part of the win for So Cal. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 triples. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. Dionisio Penni, the winner, improved to 1-0. He held Nevada to 2 earned runs on 6 hits over 6 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts. Jesús González earned the save, his 1st, for the Bruins.

Jeff Carter aided the So Cal cause with a 2-run home run in the top of the first. For the game, the second baseman went 1-5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
