| G-Strings Lose to Cards, 5-1 | The Portland Cards racked up a win at The Kallipolis, bumping off the Nashville G-Strings, 5-1. Won-min Im, who started for Portland, pitched effectively for his team. In 6.1 innings, Im surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. The Cards bumped their record to 67-65 with this latest triumph.
The Cards got a big at-bat from shortstop Jesús Gutiérrez. For the game, Gutiérrez was 1-4. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 71st hit of the season gave Portland a 3-1 lead.
