| Machine Scratch and Claw to 11-9 Win | The Chicago Machine and St Charles Sheens lit up the scoreboard at Crown Royal Stadium.
In a high-scoring contest between Chicago and St Charles, left fielder José Alomar was a difference-maker. Alomar, who is a two-time All-Star, earned player of the game honors in the 11-9 Chicago win. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The win was Aaron Thrash's in relief. His record improves to 6-17. António Ojeda took the loss for St Charles.
Alomar had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 0-1 fastball from António Ojeda, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Machine a 9-8 lead. It was the 14th home run of the year for Alomar.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Alomar.
The Machine now have a record of 51-80 with the win over St Charles.
