| Knights Turn Back St Charles, 6-5 | The St Charles Sheens got a superb performance from second baseman Miguel Encarnación. Still, it wasn't enough to beat New York. The Knights won the game, 6-5. In spite of the loss, Encarnación was named the player of the game. He went 4 for 5 with 4 singles. He scored 2 times. Paco Ruíz converted his 26th save in 28 tries. New York is now 54-75, St Charles 44-86.
The result might have been different for New York, had it not been for Mike Harris. The center fielder produced a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Knights ahead, 5-2. For the game, Harris had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
