| Zúńiga Hits 2 home runs in Cards Win | It was a good time at The Kallipolis, where fans came to watch the Baffin Island Beavers and Portland Cards get after it.
The Portland Cards knocked off the Baffin Island Beavers, 14-6, at The Kallipolis. António Zúńiga, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Portland won. The center fielder slugged 2 home runs. He scored 4 times and drove in 7. Allan Bader notched his 1st save in 1 chances.
Zúńiga contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Portland in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 2-0, Zúńiga took a fastball from Braydon Schute and stroked the home run to left. His 10th home run of the season allowed the Cards to leap in front, 3-2.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Zúńiga.
The Beavers, now 72-55, have lost 6 in a row.
