Victory Over Kings Takes Springfield to 10-3
|
Springfield Stars starter Kyu-pyeong Pak was in fine form against the Kansas City Kings at The Throne Room, leading his team to a 5-2 win. The save went to José Valdéz, his 5th this season. The win brings the Stars to 10-3, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
The Stars got a big at-bat from shortstop Juan Carlos Rodríguez. For the game, Rodríguez was 1-4. He drove in 2 runs. In the top of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 16th hit of the season gave Springfield a 2-0 lead.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Rodríguez told the Springfield Citizen.
