D-Bags Come Back Late, Nip G-Strings | Nashville pitcher Kip Manning gave the D-Bags all they could handle, but in the end, Jersey Shore left Gibson Guitar Park with a 4-3 win. Manning allowed 2 earned runs on 5 hits over 7 innings. Jersey Shore starter José Ramos was credited with the win after throwing 107 pitches over 7 innings. His record now stands at 6-4. The G-Strings, at 72-54, have lost 8 straight games.
Francisco Sandoval drove in one run for Jersey Shore. The 28-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Ramiro Rivera. It was his 7th RBI of the season.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Nashville skipper Luis García.
