Bellas Stun Pikes, 3-1 | Bob Moss never let Seattle get something going. The Pocatello right-hander commanded his change up in pitching the Bellas to a 3-1 win. Pocatello reliever Jaime Espinoza got the win, raising his record to 8-5. Cristián Escobar was tagged with the loss. Pocatello is now 81-43, 18 games up in the Continental League Western Division.
The Bellas got a big at-bat from center fielder Tomás Carranza. For the game, Carranza went 2 for 5 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the ninth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 125th hit of the season gave Pocatello a 3-1 lead.
"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Moss said.
