| Kalamazoo Edges Houston, 3-2, Castro Ks 11 | The Kalamazoo Royale with Cheese eked out a 3-2 win versus the Houston Marshals at Mythology Coliseum. Nobody did more than pitcher Salvador Castro, who captured player of the game honors. Manuel Herrera notched his 4th save in 4 chances. The Royale with Cheese bumped their record to 72-51 with this latest triumph.
Castro, who was born in Villa de Cura, Venezuela, threw 92 pitches over 6.1 innings, while allowing no earned runs.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Castro said.
