| Sheens Sneak Past Bellas, 4-3 | The Sheens grabbed a win, 4-3, at Connie Mack Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Pocatello pitcher Jesús De Los Santos. De Los Santos went 6 innings and allowed no earned runs. St Charles reliever António Ojeda picked up the win, upping his record to 4-5. Gerald Johnson took the loss. Even with the win, the Sheens have a dismal 43-81 record.
The Sheens got a big at-bat from second baseman Miguel Palácios. For the game, Palácios went 1-2. In the top of the ninth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 97th hit of the season gave St Charles a 3-2 lead.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Palácios told the St Charles Citizen.
