| Multi-HR Day for García as Bandits Overpower Panthers, 5-4 | The San Francisco Bandits topped the Vista Panthers, 5-4, with right fielder Mario García playing a big role. García slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Bandits in the win. Octávio Pérez got credit for the win, improving to 1-2. He allowed no runs on 5 hits in 5.1 innings. Even with the win, the Bandits have a dismal 42-82 record.
García had a big at-bat with a runner on 3rd in the bottom of the eighth inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Bandits went on to win.
"We take it day by day here," said García, "and today was a good one for us."
