| Multi-HR Day for Jareño as Hitmen Overpower Gang Green, 7-2 | The exploits of catcher Felipe Jareño helped the Hendersonville Hitmen defeat the Irvine Gang Green, 7-2. Jareño went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Troy Parker got credit for the win, improving to 5-12. He allowed 1 run on 5 hits in 7 innings. The Hitmen improved to 44-76.
Jareño had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the sixth inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Hitmen went on to win.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Jareño told a Hendersonville Citizen reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
