Pacheco, the winner, moves to 10-9. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 9 and giving up 1 walk. The Kings bumped their record to 68-52 with this latest triumph.
Gregg Nelson aided the Kansas City cause with a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the third baseman went 1 for 4 with a home run.
