| Bellas Lose to D-Bags, 7-6 | Pocatello got a terrific game from catcher Nick Cox. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Jersey Shore, 7-6. Cox was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Jersey Shore reliever Alex Stanford picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jaime Espinoza was saddled with the loss. John Hall got the save, his 5th in 7 chances.
Miguel Serna, who is tied for 4th in the CL in extra base hits with 58, chipped in for Jersey Shore with a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"We got the victory," said Serna. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
The D-Bags saw their record improve to 58-62.
