| Stars Sneak Past Knights, 2-1 | The Springfield Stars topped the New York Knights, 2-1, in Continental League action at Kekambas Park. The player of the game was Springfield pitcher and Koyang, South Korea native Hyo-chin Ch'oe. José Valdéz earned his 35th save in 37 chances. The Stars bumped their record to 83-36 with this latest triumph.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when second baseman Mike Pearson, who is rated as the 99th best prospect by BNN, hit a single. The Stars went on to win.
Ch'oe called the win "a collective effort."
