| G-Strings Come Back Late to Clip Sheens | Fans who gathered at Crown Royal Stadium saw a good contest between the Nashville G-Strings and St Charles Sheens.
Nashville G-Strings starter Bill Moore was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the St Charles Sheens, 4-3. Noriyuki Matsui picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-1. António Ojeda was tagged with the loss. Johnathan Phillips notched his 24th save in 27 chances.
The G-Strings got a big at-bat from catcher Wilfred Martin. For the game, Martin went 2-4 with 2 singles. In the top of the ninth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 48th hit of the season gave Nashville a 4-3 lead.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Nashville manager Luis García.
Nashville has 3 straight wins, St Charles 3 straight losses.
