| Victory Pushes Royale with Cheese Record to 68-48 | Kalamazoo Royale with Cheese starter Jason Taylor was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Maui Tropics, 4-3. Frank Davis notched his 15th save in 16 chances. The Royale with Cheese raised their record to 68-48.
The Royale with Cheese got a big at-bat from designated hitter Vincente Sáenz. For the game, Sáenz was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Kalamazoo a 4-2 lead.
"I had a good game plan," said Taylor. "I made my pitches." His manager concurred. "It was all there," Domingos Jacobsen said, "the velocity, the sharpness of his pitches."
