| Victory Pushes Beavers Record to 68-47 | The Baffin Island Beavers defeated the El Dorado Oilers, 7-4, at Beaver Dam today. Leading the charge for Baffin Island was designated hitter Lorenzo Villa. He went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 3 RBI. The win was credited to Roberto Barrón in relief. His record improves to 5-2. Mitch Brown took the loss. Tony Rocha converted his 11th save in 12 tries.
The Beavers got a big at-bat from left fielder Norberto Muńóz. For the game, Muńóz went 1-2 with 2 walks. In the bottom of the seventh, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 92nd hit of the season gave Baffin Island a 5-4 lead.
Muńóz told a Baffin Island Daily reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
The Beavers bumped their record to 68-47 with this latest triumph.
