| 5-Hit Barrage by Daniels | Jeff Daniels exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Pikes' Point Stadium.
The Portland first baseman had a field day in the 8-2 triumph over the Seattle Pikes, finishing 5-for-5.
"My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch."
Daniels must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Jeff Daniels singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.
Hitting .359 to date, Daniels has 28 home runs and 80 RBIs. He has played in 112 games. |
