| Rivas slugs 2 home runs as Tropics Squeeze Past So Cal | The So Cal Bruins and Maui Tropics provided some drama at Jersey West at Staples Field.
The Maui Tropics topped the So Cal Bruins, 8-7, in National League action at Jersey West at Staples Field. The player of the game was Maui right fielder José Rivas. Steve Floyd picked up the win with 5 innings of work. He allowed no earned runs on 5 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 2. On the season, he is now 6-10.
