| Beavers Prevail, 4-2, Over Boston | The Baffin Island Beavers topped the Boston Rebels, 4-2, in National League action at Beaver Dam. The player of the game was Baffin Island pitcher Tom Miller. The winner was Jaime Guzmán in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Robbie Daniel took the loss. Baffin Island has now won 5 in a row.
Norberto Muńóz, who is tied for 10th in the NL in bases on balls with 57, aided the Baffin Island cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the left fielder went 1 for 2 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Baffin Island manager Bobby Jones.
