| Marshals Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Kings | The Houston Marshals topped the Kansas City Kings, 3-2, in Continental League action at Mythology Coliseum. The player of the game was Houston pitcher José Salinas. The winner was Vinícius Itaquy in relief. His record improves to 7-6. Gene McNeil took the loss. With the victory, the Marshals record now stands at 52-58.
Matt Smith was the walk-off hero for Houston. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Marshals pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
