| Tavárez has 4 hit night to Power Gang Green Offense | The Irvine Gang Green grabbed a 12-4 win over the Nevada Noise at Branda's Palace. Irvine center fielder Tony Tavárez went 4 for 6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 to earn player of the game honors. The first-place Gang Green, at 73-36, now lead their division by 6½ games.
José Sánchez was 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI for Irvine. The 30-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Isaac Pope. It was his 42nd RBI of the season.
