Big Day by Anderson Ignites Calrissian Win | 2029 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Seattle Pikes.
The Orlando Calrissian grabbed a 13-7 win over the Seattle Pikes at Pikes' Point Stadium. Orlando catcher Rich Anderson went 4 for 5 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4 times and driving in 2 to earn player of the game honors. Orlando reliever Xavier Velázquez got the win, raising his record to 3-6. José Jiménez was tagged with the loss.
Danny Allen helped out the Orlando cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the right fielder went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Allen.
Orlando now sits in third place in the National League Southern Division at 43-62.
