| Close Win Moves Browns to 55-51 | The St. Louis Browns eked out a 2-1 win versus the Houston Marshals at Gateway Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Aaron Palmer, who captured player of the game honors. Palmer, now 5-2, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 6, walking 3, and allowing no earned runs. Cristóbal Gómez, credited with the save, is now 19 for 25 in save opportunities.
Dave Watson, who is rated as the 99th best prospect by BNN, aided the St. Louis cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the first. For the game, the catcher went 1-3.
