| Kings Get Road Win, 5-3 | The Kansas City Kings bested the Greenville 84s, 5-3, at Michigan & Trumbull. Toshimichi Kono was named player of the game. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles. Kono had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 0-1 sinker from Vicente Durán, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Kings a 5-3 lead. It was the 20th home run of the year for Kono.
