| Big Day by Serrano Sparks Noise Win | The Nevada Noise defeated the Nassau Rockets, 12-6, at Nassau Grounds today. Leading the charge for Nevada was catcher Víctor Serrano. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Toshikasu Kiyomizu got the win, improving to 2-3. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 3 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 5. The Noise bumped their record to 56-46 with this latest triumph.
Rich Ruffin, who is a three-time Gold Glove Award winner, chipped in for Nevada with a grand slam home run in the top of the first. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 RBI.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Ruffin said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
