Rockets Turn Back Philadelphia, 7-5 | The Nassau Rockets beat the Philadelphia Athletics, 7-5, at Edmund Fitzgerald Field. The win was largely due to the efforts of center fielder Kenji Kudo, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2 for 3 with 2 singles, while scoring 2 times. Ju-choer Yi, credited with the save, is now 2 for 2 in save opportunities. With the win, Nassau has a record of 57-43. Philadelphia falls to 36-64.
Wilson Allen, who is tied for 9th in the NL in extra base hits with 43, chipped in for Nassau with a solo home run in the top of the seventh. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 1 run batted in.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Kudo told the Nassau News.
