| Late Rally by D-Bags Seals 4th Straight Win | The Jersey Shore D-Bags beat the Irvine Gang Green, 5-4, at The Ballpark at Irvine. The win was largely due to the efforts of catcher Ben Morton, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2 for 4 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Gerald Johnson got the save, his 22nd in 23 chances. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Jersey Shore.
Morton had a game-changing double in the top of the ninth. On a first pitch slider from Dae-hee Ch'oe, he banged a run-scoring double to left, giving the D-Bags a 5-4 lead. It was the 14th double of the year for Morton.
In postgame comments to the Jersey Shore Today, Morton said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
