| Oilers Win at Orlando, 6-3 | El Dorado and Orlando duked it out at Mel Fields and the Oilers came out victorious.
The El Dorado Oilers picked up a win at Mel Fields, knocking off the Orlando Calrissian, 6-3. Starting pitcher Barton Johnson, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The winning pitcher was Johnson, now 7-7. He tossed 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 7. Kuang-yin Yue converted his 13th save in 16 tries.
José Hernández, who is tied for 5th in the NL in bases on balls with 53, aided the El Dorado cause with a 2-run single in the top of the sixth. For the game, the designated hitter was 3 for 6 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"I really like what we did out there today," Hernández said after the game.
Even with the win, the Oilers have a dismal 33-63 record.
