| Pocatello Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in R3 | Riding the 3-hit performance of left fielder John Peterson, the Pocatello Bellas stopped the visiting Springfield Stars, 6-3, in Game 3 of the League Championship today. Peterson went 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 3 times for the Bellas, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.
Germán Rosales had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for the Bellas. Coming up with a runner on 2nd and Pocatello trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run home run.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Rosales told the Pocatello Today.
Game 4 is set to be played tomorrow at Connie Mack Stadium. The scheduled starters for the game are Marcos Flores for the Springfield Stars and Jesús De Los Santos for the the Pocatello Bellas.
