| Kenilworth Takes League Championship in Deciding Game | With a narrow 4-3 series win, the Kenilworth Aces have eliminated the Baffin Island Beavers and are League Championship winners.
"We tried not to look ahead to the BSA Championship, but we thought we'd be there for sure," said catcher Julián Madrid, who was named series MVP.
Kenilworth won the final game by a score of 5-3, wrapping it up at Play Rocks Field.
Madrid's big series saw him hit .286 with a .375 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 5 runs.
The Kenilworth Aces don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Springfield Stars - Pocatello Bellas series. That series is tied at 3 games apiece. The BSA Championship schedule will be announced after the League Championship finishes. |
