| Kalamazoo Win Evens Series at 1 | The Kalamazoo Royale with Cheese relied on the hitting of shortstop Keith Tillman to get by the Springfield Stars, 10-7, in Game 2 of the Divisional Round today. For the game, Tillman went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. The clubs are now tied, 1-1.
Kalamazoo used the bat of Javier Espinoza to get the win. The second baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Royale with Cheese ahead, 7-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Tillman.
The next game is set to be played Friday, October 12th, 2029 at Hawthrone Grill in Kalamazoo. Slated to start are Kyu-pyeong Pak for the Springfield Stars and Jason Simpson for the the Kalamazoo Royale with Cheese.
