| Kenilworth Takes Divisional Round | The Kenilworth Aces are riding high after winning the Divisional Round and eliminating the New Orleans Looters by a series score of 4-2.
The final blow came tonight at Play Rocks Field, when Kenilworth secured its spot in the League Championship with a 4-1 victory.
"It feels good to put them away because we really didn't want to let them crawl back into this series," said center fielder Barrett Waters, who was named series MVP. "A team like that, you need to bury them when you get the chance."
Waters certainly helped his team's cause, as he hit .429 with a .429 on-base percentage in the series. He also chipped in 2 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 5 runs.
The Kenilworth Aces don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Irvine Gang Green - Baffin Island Beavers series. Baffin Island leads the series 3 games to 2. The League Championship schedule will be announced after the Divisional Round finishes. |
