| New Orleans Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 3-2 | The New Orleans Looters have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Kenilworth Aces, winning 4-1 at The Bayou at Heineken Field today. Looters right-hander Edward Baker was named player of the game after he threw 8 innings of 7-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Looters to 3-2 in the best-of-7 Divisional Round.
Taylor Smith chipped in for New Orleans with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"It was a solid team effort," said Baker after the game.
Game 6 is set to be played Tuesday at Play Rocks Field. Slated to start are Chris Martin for New Orleans and José Martínez for Kenilworth.
