Almost There: Kenilworth On Cusp of R2 Triumph After 11-0 Win | When the games really matter, the Kenilworth Aces put on their best show, beating the New Orleans Looters by a final score of 11-0 today. Andrés Lara earned player of the game honors, as he went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Kenilworth now leads New Orleans 3-1 in the best-of-7 affair.
Kenilworth second baseman Jim Jensen helped the Aces go up, 2-0, in the top of the second inning. With the game tied, Jensen hit a 2-run double off New Orleans pitcher Juan Martínez.
"We have been clicking right from the start of this series, so our mission statement at the moment is just don't tinker with anything," Kenilworth manager Ismael Martínez told reporters.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Bayou at Heineken Field in New Orleans. Slated to start are Erwin Entwistle for Kenilworth and Edward Baker for New Orleans.
