Martínez, Looters Wallop Aces in Game 3 of R2 | The New Orleans Looters have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Kenilworth Aces, winning 6-3 at The Bayou at Heineken Field today. Looters second baseman Jorge Martínez was named player of the game after he hit 3 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring three times. The win cuts the deficit facing the Looters to 2-1 in the best-of-7 Divisional Round.
Arturo Sánchez, who is rated as the 5th best prospect by BNN, chipped in for New Orleans with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the third baseman had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Sánchez.
Game 4 is scheduled for tomorrow. Slated to start are José Morán for the Kenilworth Aces and Juan Martínez for the the New Orleans Looters.
