| Keith, Kalamazoo Start Wildcard Round Strong with Home Win | The Kalamazoo Royale with Cheese powered past the visiting St. Louis Browns, 4-1, in the opener of the Wildcard Round at Hawthrone Grill today. Kalamazoo center fielder Caden Keith went 4 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 3 runs, to lead the charge. The Royale with Cheese now lead the series 1-0.
The Royale with Cheese ran into trouble in the top of the second. The score was 1-0, Kalamazoo, with one out. St. Louis, with runners on 1st and 2nd, had Dave Watson at the plate. With a base hit, he could have changed the complexion of the game. Instead, he hit into a double play and the Royale with Cheese went on to win.
