| Baffin Island Sweeps into the Divisional Round | Being named series MVP was little solace for Chris Bates after the Baffin Island Beavers eliminated his So Cal Bruins from the playoffs.
Baffin Island won the final game 3-2 at Beaver Dam and wrapped up the series 2-0.
"I couldn't care less about an MVP award when we don't even win," Bates said. "I would rather have played terrible but still had a chance to win the BSA Championship."
Meanwhile, the Baffin Island clubhouse was alive with celebration after the victory, with the team's skipper Bobby Jones saying his team is "confident and strong" going into the Divisional Round.
The Baffin Island Beavers will play against the Irvine Gang Green in the next round. Irvine had a bye in the Wildcard Round. The Divisional Round schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Round finishes. |
