Beavers Bang Out 7-2 Win Versus Boston | The Boston Rebels and Baffin Island Beavers were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd at Fenway Park.
The Baffin Island Beavers defeated the Boston Rebels, 7-2, in National League action at Fenway Park, with Baffin Island pitcher Robert Reeves named player of the game. The Beavers bumped their record to 53-39 with this latest triumph.
With no one out in the bottom of the ninth, Howard Lambert had a chance to do some damage. Boston was trailing 7-1, but had the bases loaded. Lambert came to the plate against Robert Reeves, and hit a sacrifice fly. But it was not enough to complete a Boston comeback.
