The So Cal Bruins trumped the San Francisco Bandits, 8-5, at Jersey West at Staples Field. So Cal third baseman Lawrence Schroeder was named player of the game for his performance. He went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. César Menéndez got credit for the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1 innings. So Cal is now 56-36, San Francisco 31-61.

Schroeder had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the ninth. On a 1-1 changeup from Mal Park, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Bruins a 8-5 lead. It was the 14th home run of the year for Schroeder.

"Feels good to get the job done," Schroeder said after the game.
